This year’s VMworld topped all expectations and attracted 17,021 attendees, an impressive number considering the state of the economy and the overall retreat in conference attendance due to budget cuts. The theme this year is, “Virtual Roads. Actual Clouds.” it’s all about how we get to the Cloud.

Last Friday, June 4, I received confirmation that I had been awarded a VMware vExpert 2010 award. I am very humbled and honored by th award. I appreciate the trust that VMware has bestwoed upon me and i hope to continue to serve the community this year even more. It is truly an honor to be included among this year's vExperts awardees. There are some really smart and very talendted people receiving the award.

I have been getting non stop emails since the new site went online and i really thank everyone for all the support. To answer all your questions in one shot i decided to put this blog article together:

After months of work and development and after long nights and no weekend time :) the new web site is up and running and we are thrilled.

I have been getting tons of emails daily asking about the release date for the new ESX 3.5 CBT and i am so very sorry for the delay and i am truly honored by all the excitement you have shown me and the support you have extended me, i hope i don't ever let you down.

With the release of VMware ESX 3.5 (notice I am not using the word Server anymore abiding by the new naming convention! J) VMware expanded physical memory support on ESX hosts from 64GB with ESX Server 3.0 to 256 GB with ESX 3.5. So now I am at a client site deploying some really awesome HP Proliant DL580 G5 with a 128 GB Ram and ESX 3.5. Once the installation was completed and all the configuration in place I noticed that the available physical memory on this host was 64GB and that the host was able to see 128 GB but 64GB were blocked as if they were in use

In the next few days EliasKhnaser.com will be going offline for a face lift. When it comes back online we will have 2 new DVD Training Courses being offered, VMware ESX Server 3.5 and Virtual Center 2.5 and also Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. In the making are some cool titles as well and for those people that emailed me, yes yes and yes there will be tons of Citrix stuff coming out this year.
